As if San Francisco’s other high-rise buildings didn’t already have enough of an inferiority complex, what with the shiny new kid on the block towering over them.

Now we find out that, if the conditions are right, Marc Benioff’s Salesforce Tower can sprout gossamer wings of diffused sunlight. All it takes is a wisp of fog and a low sun.

Reddit user BaxterInwood snapped the unusual effect last weekend as sunbeams reflected off the tower’s gleaming shell. He posted the photo on Reddit and Imgur.

The Reddit community mostly approved.

“I love the direction that architecture is going,” wrote fluffykerfuffle1.

Sneeden said he I would love to see a time lapse.

But one person wasn’t impressed.

“Still looks like a big shiny robot d—,” wrote the design critic.
